Essential Oil Petitgrain
From: 70,00€/KG (70,00€–1.000,00€/kg)
The Petitgrain oil, also known as petitgrain bigarade oil, is the essential oil extracted by the steam distillation of the leaves and green twigs of the Citrus aurantium ssp. amaravia (the bitter orange tree.) Mainly produced in Paraguay, it is a by-product from the pruning of the tree after the production of the orange bitter oil extracted by its fruits and the neroli oil produced by the flowers. The Petitgrain Paraguay oil has a greenish woody orange smell very appreciated in perfumery and specially found in colognes. The essential oil of Petitgrain can be also produced from the Citrus Limonum tree (Lemon Petitgrain) and from the Citrus Reticulata Blanco tree (Mandarin Petitgrain) that offer different scents.
