Quality Control Technician (Sant Just Desvern, Barcelona)

Our main production plant and offices (HQ) are in Sant Just Desvern (Barcelona). Ventós​ presence is worldwide: Ventós Brazil, Ventós China, Ventós Colombia, Ventós Grasse, Ventós Mexico, Ventós Singapore, Ventós USA and Ventós Indonesia.

We are looking to strengthen our team in Ventós Barcelona by adding a Quality Control Technician.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality control analysis on essential oils and aroma chemicals
  • Carry out chemical tests according to internal specifications and industry standars
  • Conduct organoleptic evaluations (taste and smell analysis)
  • Operate and interpret results using GC-FID and GC-MS instruments
  • Participate in the development, validation, and maintenance of analytical methods for gas chromatography
  • Collaborate with the Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure product traceability and compliance
  • Prepare reports, certificates, and documentation related to quality control
  • Support the implementation of continuous improvement processes within the QA department

Profile:

  • Degree in Chemistry or related scientific field
  • Desirable: Master’s degree or proven expertise in Gas Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry
  • Expertise in the Flavour and Fragance industry is a strong asset
  • Familiarity with quality standards and analytical protocols in the chemical or cosmetics sector is valued
  • Solid knowledge of organic and analytical chemistry
  • Experience or interest in natural substances, chemical synthesis, and analytical method development
  • High level of English is a must
  • Attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and ability to work independently
  • Team spirit, flexibility and proactive attitude
