Walking through the centre of Barcelona is like walking through the centre of any other big city in the world. It is becoming increasingly difficult to surprise people. When Ventós decided to add value to the distribution business, it was a great challenge. We were distributors, so what could we offer to an industry like ours, which in the 21st century seemed to have it all figured out? And yet we still took the plunge.
We started with very small distillers, with the intention of rectifying unrefined essential oils and fractionating some (white Thyme, rectified Eucalyptus, Safrole-free Nutmeg, etc.). Later on, we were tempted by short-path distillation, and thus our family of MD (Specialties of Patchouli, Vetiver, Cypriol, etc.) was born.
In conclusion, the focus has always been on customer service, trying to provide the service they require at all times, based on their market and activity.
The latest technology we have added to our facilities has been CO2 extraction and, thanks to numerous trials, we proudly announce the first homemade CO2 extract: Schinus Molle SFE, with a high solubility of Ethanol that improves this parameter from the essential oil. As a result, the flavor is as intens as the berries when they are just pressed.
We have used the creativity of our Ventós team to follow market trends with our Tailor Made line, making bespoke products for customers who request them.
Although we are aware that we do not create trends, experience has made us wiser. Strictness and rigour have always been present in the selection of raw materials, and in all stages of the production. Our years of experience and manufactured products have taught us, they have made us grow up.
