Palmarosa is an aromatic plant native to India. Its essential oil is obtained by steam distillation and has been used in perfumery since ancient times due to its components, which assimilate it in certain aspects to Geranium (Indian Geranium) and in others, to Rose. Guerlain was the first to use it in his Vol de Nuit fragrance in 1933.
