Bergamot is a citrus fruit rarely known outside the fragrance industry. It is native to southern Italy and although it has been historically used in fragrances, its phototoxic properties due to its content in bergaptene and psoralens, regulated by IFRA, are well known. Ventós, apart from the conventional quality and the bergaptene free option, also offers organic quality.
